Bread I Like: Peter Pan Doughnut Shop
A few classics from one of my favorites, Peter Pan:
Every doughnut I've ever had from Peter Pan has been a well done classic, but I keep returning to the chocolate coconut. This one here, together with a classic cruller, composed a post run snack!

Bread I Like: Gourdough's
I visited Austin, TX recently and was introduced to their favorite form of street food, dispensed from Airstream Trailers. This particular trailer, Gourdough's, makes doughnuts to order from a menu filled with delights.

You can order doughnuts with maple and bacon, or peanut butter and jelly, like we did, or even get one with fried chicken. It's called a "Motherclucker."
(pardon the red tinge - red umbrella and a sunny day in Texas.)

Bread I Like: Spudnuts Doughnuts in Los Angeles
Happy National Doughnut Day!

If you're in the Los Angeles area, I will encourage you to visit my favorite doughnut shop - Spudnuts!
Spudnuts in conveniently (maybe too conveniently) located near where I stay in Los Angeles, and I stopped in one day a few months back to try their famous doughnuts, made with potato.
